DJ Esta Polyesta is one of my new favorite Ecstatic Dance DJs and ritual/ceremony holders.
She plays a lot of shamanic, medicine, african, tribal and world music.
Her rituals get people deeply embodied, relaxed, activated and connected to one another. More people sing, chant, or just make sound than any other ED ritual i’ve attended.
I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing her in her house in Amsterdam.
“I DJ to connect people with themselves and one another”.
– What is the most important thing for a new DJ
– How to find music
– How to deal with criticism
– How to build your set
– How to bring more of yourself into the set.
Watch the interview and comment back on the original post what you’ve got out of it.
