A couple of days ago was the first time I paid someone to cook for me in my own house.
I was already having all my cleaning, house work and shopping done;
Lately I’ve saved 5-10 hours every week by having my cleaner go to supermarkets, organic shops and delis instead of me, in addition to all the house work, dishes, laundry, etc.
But this was the first time I let someone cook for me.
I gave her simple instructions on what I want and what I like.
It was amazing to come back home and find 3 cooked dishes – things I wouldn’t even cook by myself, and not having to spend time cooking.
I still need to give her more specific instructions (it was a bit too spicy and oily), but still it was tasty and I appreciate the time-saving, and the surprise.
I still love and enjoy cooking and will do it often/sometimes, but at least now I have the CHOICE.
This is in parallel to hiring a half time virtual assistant, who is taking care of all the backlog of things I didn’t feel like doing or didn’t have time doing.
All my website, design, mailing-list and other techy stuff is already handled by the awesome Philipp Steinweber.
And next workshop is organized by the gorgeous and diligent Maaike Aker.
Feeling blessed to have these people support me, and I enjoy supporting them financially with what they love doing.
I’m looking for more ways to delegate/outsource more stuff so I could focus on my core gifts – writing, coaching, facilitating, speaking, and studying.
Currently I’m open for a part time dutch employee to organize future workshops, promote my public speaking and coaching services, do business development, and do other stuff that require one to be dutch and in the Netherlands – let me know if interested.
Feeling grateful.
