Anthony Robbins is one of the leaders in the area of personal development, motivation, and success.
I am sharing with you my notes about a recording called “Unlimited Power”, that you can find below.
I urge you to read his book “Unleash the Giant Within” and attend one of his seminars.
The quality of my life is the quality of my communications (with myself)
Communication:
7% words
38% tonality
55% physiology
Two things he learned from Jim Rohn:
1. it’s not what happens but what you do with it
2. for things to get better, I have to get better.
PERSONAL POWER:
The ability to take action
Keys to personal power
1. Energy
2. Skill:
a. Define what you want
b. Define what others want and fill their needs
3. Turning fear into power (fire walk)
Model success:
1. Model the beliefs of the successful person
2. Duplicate their mental syntax – language
3. Duplicate their physiology
7 Disciplines of success:
1. I always act from personal power – the ability to take action
There are no failures, only results or outcomes.
Successful people do not believe in failures
2. I create my world. I’m totally responsible for my world. I take charge of my world.
No matter what happened, you are responsible for that on some level
3. I’m always stretching myself.
You are much more than you think you are when you challenge yourself
a. Put yourself on the line
b. Make a public declaration/commitment to that new goal
c. Model someone who is already producing the result you want
d. You must act on your goal
4. I am committed to unconscious competence rather than cognitive understanding.
Don’t try to understand
5. I always act from personal integrity
No matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides
“I always lie with integrity” – your beliefs are only true for you, and they might be false for others.
Keep your beliefs as long as they work
6. The meaning of communication is the response that you get
“Intention means nothing. Results mean everything”
7. I am committed to do WEIT – whatever it takes
THE key to success is to go from interest to commitment.
Things you can look at in your life, that can lead to changes:
1. Passion and purpose – what can I get passionate about?
2. Belief – believe in your ability to achieve.
3. Strategy
4. Values
5. Energy level- diet, sleep, exercise
6. Bonding power – connection to others
7. Communication skills
